Pizza Ring
Ingredients:
1 tube of refrigerated crescent rolls
Pizza Sauce (in a jar)
Shredded cheese (i use mozzarella and cojack, but you can go all out with anything you like)
pizza toppings
Directions:
1. unroll the crescent roll dough one piece at a time. Place one on a pizza stone, short side in, pointy end out (you're going to be overlapping each piece to make a circular star shape with a hole in the middle). Using a rolling pin, roll the dough out (in place) to flatten it a bit. Repeat the process with the remaining dough, overlapping each piece and completing the circle/star.
2. spread pizza sauce in the "ring" of dough (not the points).
3. throw in cheese and toppings.
4. pull the pointy end of each piece of dough (one at a time) over the toppings and press into the middle of the ring, covering the filling completely (repeat for all pieces).
5. bake according to directions on the package of crescent rolls.
6. slice and serve - YUM!
(i'm not a recipe writer - but this tastes SO good - and it's really quick!)

ummm... a very good one! The finished product looks like a wreath. You can also add alfredo sauce and chicken w/broccoli. :)
Oh man...that sounds a little complicated - but anything that looks like a wreath when it's done I'm sure will get eaten up by my kids! Thanks for handing down a family recipe!
ymmmyyyyy.... I will have to try it:)
suepy--i'd like to make a request for you to make this for me. :) thanks cas for posting this one...yummers!
i'm going to have to request that you remove your word verification bar. i have difficulties typing sequences of random letters. and i have add, so when i start typing them sometimes i get distracted. by the time i actually get my stupid comment posted, i've now tried commenting 42 times because i can't get the dang string of letters right. just ask lindsay...it's a problem i have!?!?!?!
hey, Laura. That ADD is really getting to you isn't it? Maybe this is a TEST for you? hmmm.....
i'll make this ring next time the wild girls meet, K?
hmm, poor laura, all that horribly oppressive word verification for your bloggy brain;)...
sorry to disappoint, but i'm leaving it on - i get spammy spam comments without it, and i don't want to spend all day deleting them...
i hear hooked on phonics works wonders;)!
1. THIS RECIPE ROCKS!! I (as in me and the kids) are eating it RIGHT now and I love it. Can't wait for hubby to get home and try it!
2. I see you kept your word verification - am I the only one who bought into Laura's crazy ADD story?? :-)
maybe i shouldn't have done that...now she's going to think she'll get all her wishes come true...regarding word verifications that is. :-)
